Film review: ‘The Conjuring 2’- a treat for horror fans



It was the year 2013 when ‘the conjuring’ stormed at the box-office. The simplicity and truthfulness it had resulted into a worldwide success. Director James Wan hits the chord once again with ‘The Conjuring 2’. It’s a no-nonsense horror flick loaded with awesome BG score, excellent Camera Work and Scary means Really Scary Scenes. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are as natural as the first part. Both of them have played their roles with utmost finesse. (Farmiga once again proves that one doesn’t need to be adorned with fancy garments and ornaments to look beautiful. Her personality is unbelievably bewitching!) The rest of the cast, including Frances O’Conner, is not as impressive. Remember Lily Taylor’s remarkable performance in ‘The Conjuring’? O’Conner doesn’t even come close to Taylor. But the Horror quotient is not at all disappointing. You have the goose-bumps, you have your hands clutched against the chair-arms and you have the screams reverberating in the cinema hall. And yes, there is a suspenseful twist in the tale which lifts this horror movie to another level. Go Get Scared. It’s a Treat for The Horror Fans. 4 ‘Ghosts’ out of 5...
