‘PK’ film review: & the winner is Aamir Khan

yet another master-stroke from the trio- Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. PK deals with a subject we have already seen and applauded in the 2012 hit OH MY GOD, but when there is a man called Aamir in the film, there will be more entertainment for sure. The supporting cast Anushka, Sanjay, Sudhant, Saurabh and Boman are in good form, but it’s Aamir who makes this flick much more interesting and watch-able. Everything from his costumes to his gait to his fabulous Bhojpuri lingo to the constant-wide-eyes expression he wears is superlative. What normally happens with an Aamir Khan movie is that the subject and the treatment of his movies- Gajini, 3 Idiots, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par- are so unique that they appeal to the audiences much more than Aamir’s Performance. Since we all know all the gimmicks the Gurus and the Babas of all religions use to influence their followers (thanks to OMG), Pk, as a film, has less to offer as far as uniqueness if concerned, but Aamir’s winning performance is what makes this movie thoroughly Entertaining. With the help of a Tight Script, PK lives up to the expectations in each and every scene. The only let-down if that it doesn't have melodious songs. Otherwise it’s a FAB & PAISA-VASOOL film. 4 stars. Not to be missed. PK will make you leave the cinema hall with a Smile.
